As a QEC Manager with a software focus, you will manage a team of approximately 5 direct reports working to develop software to support theoretical and experimental efforts to implement scalable fault-tolerant quantum computing using neutral atom qubits. Day-to-day responsibilities range from project management, software architecture decisions, budgeting decisions, technical mentoring, and individual technical contributions. Responsibilities Hire and manage a team of high-performing QEC researchers and software engineers. Contribute 30-50% of your time towards hands-on QEC/SW projects Maintain ongoing communication with other technical managers, project leaders, and team members to ensure work is allocated effectively and efficiently Help to provide logistical support to create the infrastructure for the team to accomplish their goals. Experience & Education PhD in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field At least 3 years of relevant industry experience Qualifications Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team of experimental physicists, hardware, and software engineers Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a changing work environment Ability to hire the best talent from academia and industry Experience with quantum information theory and quantum error correction Familiarity with Python and at least one compiled language such as C, C++, or Rust Strong understanding of best practices for software development
